Do you notice anything different around here? I got a bloggy makeover!
And a new name. I'm no longer "Lewis & Browne".
(For the record, the name came from my 2 favorite authors).
Anyway ...
I'm loving it! The new name and makeover that is. :)

This week was rather quiet for me on Instagram, no particular reason, just caught up with life and didn't take so many pictures. But what I did take, I'd love to share with you ...
I'm @SAHMaegan on IG.

First up, this might not seem exciting, but OMGosh, you've gotta hear this!
We got a new kitten 10 days ago, and she was (still is) getting used to us and acting skittish at times, and I **knew** she was in the house but I hadn't seen her in 12 hours. So after literally turning the house inside out I thought the only place she could possibly be was in the guest bed box-spring, even though I couldn't really find an entry hole. So I laid there and watched for 2 hours, not a movement. (thank you hubs for entertaining the boy during this time). I finally gave up and went to clean the kitchen.
Suddenly, who appears at my feet? Poppy Cat!
She came out from under the dishwasher. Our dishwasher is set in the corner, almost like a lazy-susan area, but with a lot of unused space and inaccessible (really bad kitchen design, anyway) ... she found a little crack to squeeze under and get herself into that sealed off space. YIKES! Seriously, would have never found her there.
Well, no more. Hubs sealed that up, and since then she seems to have accepted that she's a member of this family and is making her presence known.

The Boy and I ventured downtown Los Angeles to visit daddy at work. We had fun playing in his office for a bit then went out to lunch. A treat for us to have family time in the middle of a work day. This is the view from his office on the 18th floor. And that "park area" you see right in the middle, my car is parked 6 stories underground below that. Sorta freaks me out.
Champagne with the hubs and cookie baking with the boy. He did all the sprinkles, and see some of those uneven icing areas, those are where he finger-swiped and helped himself. #bestcookiesever!
My little love at the farm, we did vegetable pickin' and hay ridin'.
And suddenly he's big enough to get his own snack from the pantry.
Next weekend he turns 3 years old.
Be still my heart.

LOVE the blog makeover. Glad that Poppy's hiding spot has been discovered and that she's a part of the family now. :)
ReplyDeleteFun new design!! I got a kick out of your little guy finding his own snack in the pantry. My daughter (20 months) goes into our fridge....it's a short one--think dorm room size--since we are in Scotland. She goes in it and brings the milk carton and a glass for me to fill up. Ha.
ReplyDeleteLoving the new look and glad you found kitty's hiding spot! xxx
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new design! ANd not what I expected at ALL! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new design. It's very nice and clean! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for putting up my blog button! I have to steal yours!
Isn't it funny how cats always find the weirdest places to hide!?
How funny you spent 2 hours looking for a cat that thought it was a mouse trying to hide in a crack.. lol.. love the pic of LA! Missing it.. and live little man's farm outfit.. he was ready for dirt!!
